ACCJ officially endorses the Black Belt Global Venture Studio program

The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan is one of the most influential international business organisations in the country, bringing together over 3,000 professionals from 600 globally-minded companies representing more than 40 countries. We are pleased to share that the ACCJ has officially endorsed the Black Belt Global Venture Studio. This endorsement marks an important step in strengthening international collaboration within Japan’s startup ecosystem.

🌏 Black Belt Global Venture Studio, the world’s first science based startup creation program

The Black Belt Global Venture Studio (BBV) is the first program in the world to combine the Science of Startups framework created at the University of Oxford, which identifies the characteristics of successful founding teams, with the venture studio model known as an efficient way to build new companies. The program is officially selected under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s TOKYO SUTEAM initiative.

🚀Creating technology companies with a higher chance of success

BBV draws on scientific insights from Oxford University’s Science of Startups research, supporting participants from team formation through PoC or MVP development, then connecting teams with investors and corporate partners. The methodology is rooted in data from 21,000 successful startups, giving participants a strong advantage as they move from idea to company formation.

With guidance from experienced venture builders and a data driven approach, BBV empowers entrepreneurs to develop globally competitive technology startups.
